Visibility Affects How People Discover A Community
Some Communities are designed to be easy to discover.
Others may be intended for a smaller audience.
Before creating or managing a Community, leaders should understand how visibility affects discovery and participation.
Before Changing Visibility
Review The Community Purpose
Ask:
- Is this Community open to a broad audience?
- Is it connected to a specific event?
- Is it for a private group of members?
- Should people request access?
Review Current Members
Visibility changes may affect who can discover or participate.
Check Available Settings
Use only the privacy and visibility options available in the taron UI.
Do not assume advanced privacy controls exist unless they are shown.

I Want To Limit Access
Use available privacy or approval settings if the product supports them.

Helpful Tips
Choose Visibility Based On Purpose
A broad interest Community may need different settings from a private event team Community.
Review Settings Before Inviting Members
Make sure the Community behaves as expected.
Keep Descriptions Clear
People should understand whether the Community is right for them.
Use Groups For Focused Collaboration
If the space is for a small task or project, a Group may be better than a broad Community.
