How to Join a Group
Groups on taron can be joined by invitation or, for open Groups, by request. If a Group is invite-only, you'll need to be added by the Group admin or an existing member with invitation privileges. For Groups where you can request access, submit your request and wait for admin approval.
If you've been invited to a Group, you'll receive a notification. Accept the invitation to join, or decline if the Group isn't a good fit for you right now.
What to Do When You Join
When you first join a Group, read any pinned posts, guidelines, or introductory content before posting. Understanding the Group's purpose and norms upfront saves you from contributing off-topic content and helps you participate in a way that's actually useful.
Introduce yourself if the Group culture calls for it — many working Groups appreciate knowing who's joined, especially if your background is relevant to the Group's purpose.
Leaving a Group
If a Group is no longer relevant to your work or interests, you can leave at any time from the Group page or your Group membership settings. There's no obligation to explain your departure, though a brief note is appropriate if you were an active contributor to an ongoing project.
Being Removed From a Group
Group admins can remove members when necessary — for example, if a project has concluded and the working Group is being wound down, or if a member isn't engaging in ways consistent with the Group's purpose. Being removed is not necessarily a reflection of wrongdoing; it may simply mean the Group's focus has evolved.
