Online attendees require different management to in-person guests. Here is how to ensure a good experience for your virtual audience.
Before the event
Send a reminder to all registered attendees with the event date, time (including time zone), and instructions for accessing the stream from their ticket. Tell them the stream is inside the taron app — not an external link.
During the stream
Monitor the live chat. Acknowledge online attendees by name when they comment. Read out questions during Q&A. If you see a technical complaint in the chat, respond quickly and ask affected attendees to restart the app.
Access issues
If an online attendee cannot access the stream, ask them to: (1) confirm their ticket is for online access, (2) check they are logged into the account they registered with, (3) restart the app. If the stream button is not showing, the host may not have started the stream yet.
After the event
Thank your online audience in the event community. If a replay is available, share it there. Online attendees are often from different cities — a replay extends your reach significantly.
