Managing Who You Follow

This guide explains how to review and manage who you follow on taron, when to unfollow, and how keeping your follows current improves your discovery feed and overall experience.

Why Your Follow List Matters

Who you follow directly determines what appears in your Home Feed. When your follows are accurate and current — people whose work you genuinely find valuable — your feed surfaces relevant events and updates with minimal noise. When your follows accumulate without review, your feed gradually fills with content that no longer serves you, and the discovery quality degrades.

Managing your follows is not a one-time task. It is worth revisiting periodically as your interests evolve.

How to Review Who You Follow

Access your following list from your profile or account settings. You will see all the hosts, creators, and profiles you currently follow. Scroll through and ask a simple question about each one: does their content still add something to my taron experience? If yes, keep following. If not, unfollow without guilt.

When to Unfollow

There is no social obligation to continue following anyone on taron. Common reasons to unfollow include: a host has stopped creating events in your area of interest, a community you joined through a creator has gone inactive, your professional or personal focus has shifted away from what they offer, or the volume of updates from a particular creator is drowning out content you care more about.

Unfollowing is not a judgment of quality — it is a decision about relevance. A host who creates excellent cooking events is not worth following if you are no longer interested in cooking events.

Following Back After Unfollowing

If you unfollow someone and later find their work relevant again, you can follow them again at any time. There is no restriction on re-following and no notification sent to the creator when you unfollow or re-follow.

The Connection Between Follows and Discovery

taron uses your follows as one of the primary signals for personalising your Home Feed and event recommendations. A well-curated follow list produces better recommendations than a broad, unmanaged one. If your feed does not feel relevant, the most effective fix is usually to review your follows and remove the ones that no longer match your interests — rather than changing interest settings or waiting for the algorithm to adjust.
