Where to Find Your Notification Settings

Open the taron app, navigate to your account or profile area, and go to settings. The notifications section lists every category taron supports — Push Notifications, Social Notifications, Event Notifications, Email Notifications, Event Reminders, Event Invitations, Ticket Updates, Queue Updates, Weekly Digest, Comments, Shares, New Followers, and Friend Activity. Each has its own toggle, and push versus email delivery can be controlled separately for most categories.

The Right Configuration for Most Users

The goal is not to turn everything off — it is to make the notifications you do receive worth reading. Most members end up with a configuration close to this:

Keep on for push delivery:

  • Event Reminders — you need these before attending
  • Ticket Updates — any change to your ticket needs immediate attention
  • Queue Updates — time-sensitive when a spot opens
  • Event Notifications — host updates can affect whether you can join

Switch to in-app only (disable push, keep in-app):

  • Social Notifications (comments, shares, new followers, friend activity)
  • Weekly Digest
  • Event Invitations

Email — keep on for:

  • Ticket confirmations and payment receipts
  • Account security alerts

This keeps your notification tray clean while ensuring you never miss something that requires action before an event.

For Hosts

If you run events on taron, add New Followers and Social Notifications to your push-enabled list. These tell you when your audience is growing and when your events are being shared — signals worth seeing in real time rather than in a weekly digest.

If You Are Getting Too Many Notifications

The fastest fix is to switch Social Notifications from push to in-app only. This category — comments, shares, new followers, friend activity — generates the highest volume for active users and rarely requires immediate action. Removing it from push delivery typically cuts notification volume by 60–70% without losing anything time-sensitive.

If You Are Missing Notifications

Check two places: taron's settings (confirm the category is toggled on) and your device's system settings (confirm taron has notification permission). On Android, go to Settings → Apps → taron → Notifications. On iOS, go to Settings → Notifications → taron.
