One Page, Two Views
An event has a single page, but it does not look the same to everyone. taron shows you the controls that belong to your role, so hosts see the tools for running the event and guests see the ones for attending it. If a friend describes a button you cannot find, this is usually why — you are not missing a setting, you are simply not the host.
What the Host Sees
- Start Livestream or Start Audio Stream — nobody can join until you begin
- Once live: Mute, Leave, and End Audio Stream, which ends it for everyone
- Role beside each attendee, for assigning Co-Host, Speaker, VIP and the rest
- The ⋮ menu on each attendee, with Flag user and Kick from event
- Edit Event, Edit Ticket, Attendees, Analytics, Cancel Event and Delete in the event menu
What a Guest Sees
- Join Audio Stream or Join for Free once the host is live — before that it reads "Audio stream is not active"
- While listening: Mute for your own microphone, and Leave to drop out (you can rejoin any time)
- Follow on the host, ticket selection, Invite Friends, and the Support and Gifting block
- Report and Block options in the event menu, instead of the editing tools
Everyone sees the shared parts: the description, date and time, location, tags, attendee list, comments, and the live activity strip showing who is viewing.
Co-Hosts and Organizers
Worth knowing: these roles are labels, not permissions. Marking someone Co-Host tells guests who they are — it does not give them the host's controls. Only the person who created the event can edit it, manage tickets, or remove attendees.
Checking How Guests See You
Your profile has a Guest View toggle that shows it exactly as a visitor does. Worth a look before an event launch, since that is the version people judge when deciding whether to register.
