Gifting While the Show Is On
Live event gifting on taron is designed around a familiar African tradition — spraying money as a form of celebration, appreciation, and public support. On taron, this happens digitally in real time during a livestream. Attendees send gifts to the host while the event is live, choosing their currency, adding a personal note, and triggering an on-screen animation that simulates the spray experience.
It is participatory, it is celebratory, and the money goes directly to the host.
Who Can Gift During a Live Event
Only registered attendees can send gifts during a live event. Because the live stream itself is only accessible to registered attendees, gifting is naturally limited to the same group — you must be in the stream to gift.
How to Send a Gift
During a live event on taron:
- Open the gifting option from within the live stream
- Choose the amount you want to send
- Select your currency — you choose from the available currencies regardless of where you are
- Add a note if you want to accompany your gift with a personal message
- Confirm and send
When the gift is sent, an animation plays on screen that simulates the spray effect — your name, amount, and any message appear as part of the animation visible to everyone in the stream.
Currency Selection
You choose the currency you want to gift in. taron supports multiple currencies for live gifting, and the selection is yours to make — it is not determined automatically by your location. The amount is converted and delivered to the host's wallet in their configured currency.
What Happens on Screen
When a gift lands during a live event, an animation plays that recreates the visual energy of money spraying — a deliberate design choice that brings the cultural gesture into the digital experience. The animation is visible to all attendees in the stream, not just the sender and the host. This makes gifting a shared moment rather than a quiet transaction.
What the Host Sees
The host can see who is gifting in real time during the stream. Gift activity — sender names, amounts, and notes — is visible to the host as it comes in. After the event, the total gifted amount is reflected in the host's wallet along with a record of the individual gifts received.
