taron's QR tickets are encrypted and tied to specific accounts, making them difficult to counterfeit. Here is how the system protects you and what to watch for.

How taron prevents fraud

  • QR codes are unique, encrypted, and tied to the registrant's account. A screenshot of a QR code does not contain the same security data as the live code in the app.
  • taronPass marks a ticket as scanned on the first use. Any attempt to use the same QR again is flagged as "already checked in."
  • Multi-device sync means this flag is shared across all entry points in real time.

What to watch for

Fraudsters sometimes try to transfer a screenshot to multiple people. When scanning, check that the name shown in taronPass matches the person presenting the ticket. If there is a mismatch, do a manual lookup by their name or email.
