How to scan QR tickets with taronPass — handling scan failures, VIP tiers, multi-device check-in, and attendance accuracy.

taron help Share

Scanning tickets with taronPass is fast and straightforward. Here is how to handle the common scenarios your entry team will encounter.

Standard scan

Open taronPass for your event. Point the camera at the attendee's QR code. Green tick = valid, let them in. Red X = invalid or already scanned. Always check the name on screen matches the person presenting.

VIP tier scanning

taronPass displays the ticket tier on screen when a ticket is scanned. If you have separate VIP entry, brief your VIP team to look for the tier label before directing attendees to the right area.

When a QR will not scan

Ask the attendee to increase screen brightness and clean their screen. Hold the phone steady at a slight angle. If it still fails, switch to manual check-in: tap the search icon in taronPass and look up the attendee by name or email.

Multi-device scanning

Multiple devices can scan for the same event simultaneously. taronPass syncs in real time — if one device scans a ticket, it shows as already checked in on all other devices for that event. This prevents double-entry automatically.
