Connecting With Other Attendees

This guide explains how attendees can confidently connect with other people at events, participate in conversations, and continue building relationships through Communities and Groups.

The Opportunity Inside Every Event

Every taron event puts you in the same space — physical or virtual — as people who cared enough about the same topic to show up. That is more than most networking environments give you. The challenge is not finding people with something in common; it is taking the moment seriously enough to actually connect rather than passively coexist.

At In-Person Events

Introduce yourself before the programme starts. The minutes before a session begins, during breaks, and immediately after are when the most organic conversations happen. A direct, specific opener works better than a vague one — "what brought you to this?" gives the other person something to work with. "Are you enjoying it?" does not.

taron's taronPass check-in is typically at the entrance, which naturally creates a brief moment of proximity as people arrive. This is one of the best windows for introductions.

For events with VIP tiers — where some attendees have access to VIP Lounge, Backstage, or Private Dining areas — these spaces often produce the highest-quality conversations because the group is smaller and more self-selected.

At Online Events

In the live stream, engage through whatever participation tools the host has enabled — chat, Q&A, emoji reactions. Asking a thoughtful question during the session makes you visible to other attendees without being intrusive. Comment on something specific from the session rather than a general "great event."

If the event has a Community on taron, join it during or immediately after the live stream. The post-event discussion thread is where many online attendees connect after the formal session ends.

Following Up

The best time to follow up with someone you met at a taron event is within 24 to 48 hours while the encounter is still specific in both your memories. On taron, find their profile and either follow them or send a brief message that references something specific from your conversation or the event itself.

If you connected at an in-person event and did not exchange details, the event's Community is the most natural place to find people again. Members who attended the same experience are searchable within the Community.

After the Event

Join the event Community if one exists. Follow the host if the experience was valuable. Check whether any other attendees you met are also now members of the same Community — taron's community structure makes staying connected significantly easier than trying to maintain connections through external channels alone.
