What to Expect

Attending your first event on taron is straightforward — especially if you take a few minutes to prepare before the day arrives. Here is what the experience typically looks like from start to finish.

Before Event Day

Read the event page — This is the most important step. The event page tells you everything you need to know: what the experience is, when and where it happens, what to bring, and how check-in works. Hosts often post updates here in the days before the event, so check it again the day before to make sure nothing has changed.

Save your ticket — If the event requires a ticket, locate it in your taron account and make sure you know where to find it on the day. For digital tickets with a QR code, a screenshot saved to your camera roll is useful backup.

Plan your arrival — For in-person events, know how you're getting there and give yourself enough time to arrive before the programme begins. For online events, locate the access link in advance rather than searching for it as the event starts.

On the Day

Arrive (or join) a few minutes early. This gives you time to complete check-in without rushing, find your bearings, and meet a few people before things get underway.

If you don't know anyone, that's completely normal — most first-time attendees are in the same position. A simple introduction is all it takes to start a conversation, and events are specifically designed to create those opportunities.

During the Event

Participate in whatever way feels natural. You don't need to be the most vocal person in the room. Listening, asking a question, or introducing yourself to one or two people is enough to make an event worthwhile. The goal is to be present and open, not to network aggressively.

If there are Communities or Groups connected to the event, joining them is a natural next step — it's how the connections you make during the event continue afterward.

After the Event

Follow any hosts or speakers who impressed you. If you connected with people during the event, follow up within a day or two while the encounter is still fresh. And if there's a community linked to the event, join it — the conversation often continues there.
