Attendance as a Management Tool
Knowing how many people have arrived — and who is still outstanding — gives you real operational control over your event. taronPass makes this visible in real time throughout the check-in period, and produces a complete record you can review afterward.
Real-Time Check-In Monitoring
As attendees arrive and tickets are scanned, the taronPass dashboard updates the attendance count continuously. The check-in progress display shows total tickets issued against how many have been scanned, giving you a live view of arrival rate. This is most useful in two situations: understanding when peak arrival is happening so you can allocate check-in resources accordingly, and identifying whether a slow arrival rate suggests an access or communication issue that needs to be addressed while the event is still running.
For events with multiple entry points, all scan activity from all devices consolidates into the same attendance dashboard. You do not need to manually aggregate data across scanners.
Ticket Tier Tracking
If your event uses multiple ticket types — General Admission, VIP, Early Bird, or custom tiers — the attendance record distinguishes between them. Reviewing which tiers attended at what rate tells you whether your ticket structure is working. A VIP tier with a significantly higher no-show rate than General Admission may indicate a pricing or value mismatch worth examining before your next event.
Special Access Area Management
For events where tickets include access to specific areas — VIP Lounge, Backstage, Private Dining, or similar — the taronPass verification screen makes these visible to staff at the point of scan. Each attendee's permitted areas appear on their ticket verification. This removes the need for separate guest lists at secondary entry points and reduces the possibility of incorrect access being granted.
Post-Event Attendance Records
After your event ends, the complete attendance record is available from your event management dashboard. It includes a timestamped log of every check-in, distinguishable by ticket tier and entry point. Use this data to:
- Calculate your actual attendance rate against registrations
- Identify your peak arrival window for staffing planning
- Understand whether different ticket tiers showed up at comparable rates
- Feed accurate numbers into your post-event communications and community follow-up
No-Show Analysis
Comparing registrations to actual check-ins reveals your no-show rate. For paid events, 10–20% no-show is typical. For free events, 30–50% is common. If your no-show rate is significantly higher than these benchmarks, review: whether your pre-event reminder communications were sufficient, whether the event time or location created barriers, and whether the gap between registration and event day was long enough for interest to fade.
