Streaming problems usually come from internet connection, app state, or setup errors. Work through these steps in order.
Stream will not start
Check your internet connection — you need at least 5 Mbps upload. Close other apps using bandwidth. Restart the taron app. If using RTMP, verify your stream key and URL are entered correctly in your streaming software.
Poor video quality or buffering
Switch to Wi-Fi if you are on mobile data, or vice versa. Move closer to your router. For RTMP streams, lower the bitrate setting in your streaming software — 2500 kbps is a good starting point for standard quality.
Attendees cannot see the stream
Confirm you have actually started the stream from the taron app — the Go Live button must be active. Attendees need to refresh or restart the app to see the Watch Now button appear. Check that the event is not set to invite-only if you expected public viewers.
Stream dropped mid-event
End the stream and restart it. Attendees will see the stream go offline and can refresh to rejoin when you restart. Announce in the live chat that you are restarting.
