Security Controls
taron provides a range of account security tools accessible from your settings. These are confirmed in the product:
Two-factor authentication — Adds a second verification step when logging in from a new device, significantly reducing the risk of unauthorised access even if your password is compromised.
Biometric authentication — Where your device supports it, you can use fingerprint or face recognition to access your account.
Login alerts — Sends a notification when your account is accessed from a new device or location.
Suspicious activity alerts — Flags unusual account behaviour so you can respond quickly.
Device verification — Lets you review which devices have been used to access your account.
Active sessions — Shows where your account is currently logged in. Use this to log out of sessions you do not recognise.
API access logging — Tracks third-party access activity connected to your account.
Review these settings when you set up your account and return to them any time your security situation changes.
Profile Visibility
Your profile may be visible to other taron members depending on your settings. Review what appears on your public profile — your photo, name, username, bio, hosted events, and community connections — and adjust visibility settings where available. If you are a host, a visible and complete profile helps attendees trust you. If you are a standard member, keep only the information public that you are comfortable sharing.
Messaging Controls
taron's messaging settings determine who can contact you. Use message request controls to manage incoming conversations, and block or report users whose messages are unwanted, inappropriate, or suspicious. The blocked users section in security settings keeps track of anyone you have blocked.
Reporting Harmful Behaviour
If you experience or witness harmful behaviour on the platform — harassment, abuse, spam, or anything that violates taron's Community Guidelines — use the report harmful behaviour option in settings or from the relevant profile or conversation. taron reviews reports and takes appropriate action.
Password and Email
Because taron uses email for account access, your email security is as important as your password. Use a strong, unique password and keep your email account secure. Change your taron password any time you suspect it may have been compromised.
